Frequently asked questions.

Do I need to be an experienced artist?

Absolutely not! Art therapy services are great for anyone of any artistic ability. Art therapists are trained in a variety of art materials and are there to support you in your art process.

Are art materials provided?

Due to Flourish Art Therapy Studio, LLC providing only virtual services, materials are not currently provided during sessions. However, sessions can be completed with what materials you have available. Basic drawing materials (pencils, markers, crayons, etc.) and paper are a great starting point. If you are open to purchasing art materials, the art therapist can provide you with a list of materials that can be beneficial to have for sessions.

Are sessions only art making?

No, typically art therapy sessions are a combination of art making an talk therapy. The amount of each can be adjusted to accommodate each client’s individual needs or preferences. Some days you may feel like focusing more on the art processing, while other days you may need more verbal processing. That’s okay!

Do you take insurance?

Flourish Art Therapy Studio, LLC does not currently accept any insurances and is self-pay only. For more information, please email us at robbinsarttherapy@gmail.com.
